hostnag vs Site24x7
Site24x7 is the full suite from Zoho: website, DNS, SSL, domain, mail round-trip, blocklist and heartbeat monitors from 130+ locations, beside server, network, APM, RUM and log monitoring, with an On-Premise Poller for the inside of a network and MSP plans. The same rows on one timeline without the suite: no collector, no per-monitor licence arithmetic, and a free tier for five hosts.
Free for five hosts. No card, nothing to install.

What Site24x7 has that we don't
- Server, network, APM, RUM and log monitoring in the same product, with an On-Premise Poller for the inside of a network.
- A mail round-trip monitor that sends a message and reads it back, and an RBL monitor for IPs.
- OCSP revocation and blocklisted-CA checks on certificates, 130+ locations and checks down to 10 seconds.
Switching
- 01List your monitors from the Site24x7 API; each is one row.
- 02Put them in a CSV with at least the columns type and target (name, interval, port, keyword, expected_status and record_type are optional; the import dialog links a template) and upload it in the import dialog.
- 03Website monitors become http, port monitors tcp, DNS server monitors dns with their record_type, SSL/TLS certificate monitors tls_cert, Domain Expiry monitors domain_registration; heartbeat monitors become heartbeats with a new hostnag ping URL to point the job at.
- 04Ping (ICMP) monitors carry over as Ping monitors, run from hostnag's own probes.
- 05RBL monitors become a mail monitor on the domain, which checks its MX addresses against four zones daily; server, network, APM, RUM and mail round-trip monitors have no counterpart in hostnag.
- 06Check intervals snap up to the nearest hostnag preset (1, 5, 15, 60, 360 or 1440 minutes).
- 07Monitors are created up to your plan's limit; the rest stay listed in the preview so nothing is lost silently.
